If that's the case then he was clearly protecting the police. And not even the people, but the property, because I doubt sincerely that anybody would consider throwing bottles at a police car with police sitting in them. It makes the self-righteous anti-violence stance quite suspicious and maybe the next commentator is right that the whole stance on non-violence is just a ruse to drive more wedges between anarchists and non-anarchists and anarchists with different ideas.
