S. Korean anarchists don't have squating space like Rozbrat or Milada as far as I know. Maybe, conditions for squating is far worth than Europe and 'squating' itself is not understood correctly. But even so, S.Korean anarchists have acquired many spaces for their communities and collectives. For example, activists are occupying the just spot of the Massacre of Yongsan for over a half year. Defending the place from attacking of police, anarchists have continued verious events concerning protest, mutual aid, media activity, music, grafitti and art etc. (Massacre of Yongsan itself seems to be one of latest cases of violent clearance of the old city or 'illegal' habitation, and resistance against it, that has history of decades in Seoul.)

S.Korea is one of the most militarized countries, because of the separation and confrontation of Korean peninsula. So, for anarchists anti-militarizition is one of the biggest issues. As Europian anarchists fight with NATO, S.Koreans also fight military bases and militarization that is promoted by Korean government and the US. Some young men chose to go to the prison refusing the system of conscription that compels them to enter the army.

In anti-war, anti-militarism movement of S.Korea, activists began so called 'candle protest' in 2002. Candle, that we call 'choppul' in Korean, is a symbol of direct action, 'direct-democracy', and spontaneous resistance in this country. Indeed, all the protest actions with candles is illegal, because all the political meeting outside is illegal after the sunset (during night time) in S.Korea. It is the reality of 'democracy' of this state.
