CIA - How to Use and Editorial Policy
Press "czytaj dalej" for instructions.
BASIC INSTRUCTIONS:
If you register you can change the menu to English. To register, use the "registruj" function on the top left-hand side. If you can't figure it out, write to the editorial collective using the "napisz do redakcji" function on the top right (in the banner).
If you want to send an article, click on "text" under the word "publish" on the top right. This service is moderated.
If the article is long, only the first few paragraphs will be shown on the first page. Press "czytaj dalej" to read further.
Click on "odpowiedz" if you want to comment

CIA stands for Anarchist Information Center (in Polish). The default language of the service is Polish and we understand this may confuse you. So here are some instructions - just in case you don't feel confident about clicking on unknown words.
If you get to the main CIA page, look on the left for the word "ENGLISH". (Just in case you couldn't figure that out.:-))
News on the English page are in English but the commands will stay in Polish - unless you register. Here we will explain two options:
A. Navigating in Polish
and
B. Registering
A. Navigating the Polish Menu
The important commands that probably most readers will use are "czytaj dalej" (read further) and "odpowiedz" (answer). We know that some of you have figured that out even without our helpful hints.
News from alter-ee work differently for some reason: "opowiedz" is on the other side and "pelna tresc artykulu" is where to click to read further.
The publishing icons on the upper-right hand side are bilingual, except 'wydarzenia" which is "events". That's a calendar and events which are coming up are listed on the left. (Nadchodzące wydarzenia)
When you want to publish a text, you'll get two fields. Guess what they are! You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that TYTUL means "title". Then when you "dodaj", you've submitted your text and, provided that you don't break our editorial policy, we'll post it soon!
Don't know the policy? Don't panic - we just don't want parties, nazis, sexists and nationalists. You can read the policy here.
There is a media archive - anarchiwum menu on the right.
You can download audio, video, photos and PDFs. To submit, contact us.
If you want to submit an event, you can also submit it as a text and we'll put it up on the calendar.
On the left, "szukaj" means "search".
If you want to register, you can have English all the time. You have to look on the top left and find "zarejestruj".
Then you can click on "zarejestruj nowe konto".
The first field, "nazwa" is for the name you want on your account. You can figure out that the next is e-mail and then "hasło" is your password. You have to write it twice. Underneath you'll have to repeat it. You will get a confirmation by e-mail but you don't have to answer anything.
Underneath there are two mysterious fields:
"pogłady" which are your views and "organizacja" or organization, if you belong to any. That's optional, only if you want somebody to click on your name if you post and see who you are.
When you get an account, you can edit it. "Edytuj" is "edit". (Isn't Polish simple?) Scroll down a bit and when you see the magic word ENGLISH, click on it. From
then on, you'll get English, albeit in a very strange Norwegian version.
If you have any troubles, just write us, even through the PUBLISH and we'll get back. But, don't forget to send us your e-mail!
