Apparent bomb attack against Food Not Bombs in St.Petersburg, Russia

They ran to a group of local Nazis, and soon a fight broke out.There was no choice - in order to defend himself, Vahtang had to pull aknife. As a result, he wounded one of the attackers to leg, while he wasalso hospitalized with less serious wounds himself. Already when a fight wasover, police showed up and arrested people.
Police terminated a march of some 200 right-wing extremists in Otrokovice over brawls with anarchists

The demonstration, organised by the National Corporativism association in protest against the left, was announced to the municipal authorities in Otrokovice, south Moravia, beforehand. Five radicals were detained during the brawls when both camps were throwing bottles and explosive charges to one another.

Czytelnik CIA, Nie, 2007-01-14 00:47 Świat | EnglishToday, January 13 2007, police attacked the anarchist and anti-authoritarian motorbike demo in solidarity to the three comrades arrested at the social forum on May 6 2006 in Athens. The demo was attacked by special motorbike forces (Z team) on the way back from Nikea hospital where there had been a solidarity gathering for two of the imprisoned comrades Tarasio Zadorozni and Gerasimos Kiriakopulos who are on hungerstrike.
The anti riot police squads (MAT) then stormed the comrades on the ground, 42 were taken into custody at the national security police headquarters in Athens, many of them injured, and 4 of them are still being held 9 hours later.
Action in Warsaw: Shut Down Guantanamo!

In connection with this, groups around the world have decided to organize protests, demand that Guantamo be shut down and in general protest against torture and repression committed by the state using the pretext of the "war against terror."
In Warsaw anarchists protested on Jan.6 in front of the US Embassy and the Ministry of Defense. Despite the rain, there was a good crowd from various organizations and collectives present. The action was entitled "Shut Down Guantanamo", there was a banner reading "Enough State Terrorism" and various signs, for example "This is what your democracy looks like" or "The real terrorists are in the White House". Some people held signs with the names of people detained. Part of the crowd was dressed in orange jumpsuits and a few people were dressed like US solidiers.

Two other hungerstrikers are also getting worse, but this far they have refused to leave site of the strike. Hungerstrike has been going on with avarying levels of intensity since 1st of November, so many participators are in a weak condition.

September checking the scene and it looked really good! 29th of September there was a movie screening of "Surplus" and "Colours of Resistance" (latter about year 2000 protests in Prague) with Estonian subtitres, and 80 people (!) came to the screening.. there is both Estonian and Russian speaking anarchist scene in Tallinn, in movie screening both of these were around but in general there is a serious language problem as people do not really have a common language as many speak only one language. Punamust.org is practically only Estonian language project, recently a Russian section of the site was opened but it was a huge work as nobody spoke language very well. Some Russian speakers had plans to publish a bilangual zine.
