Nov. 18 could be called a "day of actions" in Poland because three big actions took place in different cities. Although none of them were specifically anarchist, large groups of anarchists went to all of them and in one was the major group.

The Katowice section of the Anarchist Federation Silesia held an anti-election happening. One person had a pig mask and pretended to be a candidate from the PiG party. PiG is a play on words since the ruling party is PiS and the anarchists detourned their logo. The slogan on the posters made read "first the money", which is the Polish translation of "where's the money". The activists gave out slogans calling for a boycott. Nov. 11 is a patriotic holiday in Poland and the fascists come out on the streets. Elections this year were scheduled for Nov. 12.

Last week, a schoolgirl in Gdansk has committed suicide after she wasmolested in class by boys who stripped her naked and simulated rape onher. After last weeks tragedy, the fascist politicians in power in Polandhave been trying to use it to push forward their reactionary plans.

Worker-management partnership and worker owned business in capitalist economies - an anarchist approach

On Oct. 26, a demonstration was held in defense of Slawomir Kaczmarek in Lodz, Poland with a solidarity demonstration also in Madrid.

Anarchists organize protests against all politicians and for directdemocracy and anarchism.

Mass rioting took over city of Kondologa in Carelia for a number of days. Everything began 29th of August as a row in a local cafe Chayka between drunken local youth and Chechen criminal group, which was controlling the cafe. Mafia brought in additional force of 10-15, which jumped on Russian youth, shouting "Allah Akbar". A number of passers by, who had nothing to do with the original conflict, suffered as well. Alltogether mafia killed 2 and wounded 8 persons, one of the killed got his ears cut. These events shook the whole city. During few days much of the adult population of the city, 2000-3000 people gathered in the central square of the city.

Yesterday the Students Initiative conducted a happening at the Ministry of Education in Warsaw. The reason for this particular action were the statements of the Minister of Eduction (Roman Giertych we wrote already about the fascist sympathies of this man and about an ongoing student campaign to oust him from office). The minister has said that pupils who behave badly should be put in special schools where the teachers would be retired commando soldiers. This is supposed to cure the problem of violence in schools.

PROGRAM. Participation to any events requires a prior registration by e-mail. Changes to program are very likely.

The Poznan office of the Law and Justice ruling party are filing a petition with the state prosecutor against anarchists who put a billboard up in Poznan. They claim the billboard offends religious sentiments and insults the head of state.
Police went to Rozbrat squat to find who made the poster but couldn't find out.

From 10th to 11th of September sixth ASEM (Asia-Europe Meeting) summit will
take place in Helsinki, it will be the biggest top level meeting ever organized
in Finland.

A homeless guy was charged a few months ago with insulting the President of Poland.

On Aug. 19, 1991, one of the most important events in 20th century history took place: communists coup makers who wished to overthrow Mikhail Gorbachev, to undo reforms and ensure party rule in the Soviet Union were met by mass resistance which led to the Soviet Union’s collapse.

Nowadays, this event has remarkably almost faded into obscurity and accounts of it have been altered to reflect an official version most palatable for mass consumption. However this article is not to be a historical relation, but rather a reflection, written by a participant in the events. As with any historical event, what is most important is what one can learn from it.
