Nov. 18 - Day of actions in Poland

Anti-election pig happening

One person had a pig mask and pretended to be a candidate from the PiG party. PiG is a play on words since the ruling party is PiS and the anarchists detourned their logo. The slogan on the posters made read "first the money", which is the Polish translation of "where's the money". The activists gave out slogans calling for a boycott. Russia: Kondologa - a popular uprising turned to a pogrom

Everything began 29th of August as a row in a local cafe Chayka between drunken local youth and Chechen criminal group, which was controlling the cafe. Mafia brought in additional force of 10-15, which jumped on Russian youth, shouting "Allah Akbar". A number of passers by, who had nothing to do with the original conflict, suffered as well. Alltogether mafia killed 2 and wounded 8 persons, one of the killed got his ears cut. These events shook the whole city. During few days much of the adult population of the city, 2000-3000 people gathered in the central square of the city.
Poland: antimilitaristic action at the ministry of education made by students
zaczek, Czw, 2006-09-21 06:00 EnglishYesterday the Students Initiative conducted a happening at the Ministry of Education in Warsaw. The reason for this particular action were the statements of the Minister of Eduction (Roman Giertych we wrote already about the fascist sympathies of this man and about an ongoing student campaign to oust him from office). The minister has said that pupils who behave badly should be put in special schools where the teachers would be retired commando soldiers. This is supposed to cure the problem of violence in schools.

The State wants to Prosecute Radical Posterers

Police went to Rozbrat squat to find who made the poster but couldn't find out.

Nowadays, this event has remarkably almost faded into obscurity and accounts of it have been altered to reflect an official version most palatable for mass consumption. However this article is not to be a historical relation, but rather a reflection, written by a participant in the events. As with any historical event, what is most important is what one can learn from it.
