More about the case of Andrei and Denis
Czytelnik CIA, Sob, 2007-09-15 23:55 EnglishIn Thursday, 13th of September our comrades, anarchists Andrei Kalyonov and Denis Zelenin were released from remand prison of Novgorod after 29 days of arrest - just one day short of 30 day period of detention without pressing charges, allowed with anti-terrorism cases. They were suspected of bombing Nevskiy Express train 13th of August. No-one died from explosion of a claimed bomb planted to rails, but 60 people were injured. 30 day arrest period of their alleged co-conspirator, Chechen Hasan Didigov (whom they
have apparently never met before) ends 18th of September, and it is expected that he will be released as well.
Reflections from an Irish Activist in Palestine
Leo, Pią, 2007-09-14 11:23 EnglishThe following is not an attempt at a comprehensive analysis of the current situation in the Occupied Territories of Palestine. Instead, it is a reflection on the past few weeks I have spent with the International Solidarity Movement in the city of Hebron and its environs and what brought me here in the first place. It is completely subjective and deliberately intended to be so. I am a firm believer that the shortest distance between a person and the truth is a story. Many stories I have heard and read about regarding resistance to occupation, capitalism, imperialism have formed my sense of what is right and wrong - and on which side of the fence I am on. So if you manage to read through this lengthy piece of writing, I hope the stories of resistance I have encountered over the past few weeks will also inspire you also to keep on fighting the powers that be, wherever and whenever you encounter them.
Anarchists Freed in Russia
Akai47, Czw, 2007-09-13 17:36 EnglishAndrei and Denis, the two anarchists unjustly arrested in Russia and detained one month, have been released. They never were charged with anything, but also they are not 100% in the clear. They are not allowed to leave the country. The anarchists were arrested for being in the wrong place at the wrong time and for being anarchists. The state was looking to find terrorists who caused an explosion which derailed the Nevski Express train last month. Andrei and Denis, who were going to an anarchist congress, were found in the area. Despite the fact that Andrei's employers, the human rights organization Memorial, testified that he was at work in Petersburg at the time of the blast, the two were held. Their release came a few days after a brigade created by Shamil Basayev claimed responsibility for the act in a written statement. The group had also claimed responsibility for the act just after it happened, but the police kept the anarchists in custody anyway.
Call for International Day of Action Against Immigration Prisons on 22 September, 2007
Czytelnik CIA, Śro, 2007-09-12 11:46 EnglishAll over the world, refugees and migrants are being locked up in special prisons, disguised under various names, for the only 'crime' of fleeing wars or persecution or wanting to improve their lives. Without trial and with no automatic bail review, they can face months and years of incarceration in terrible conditions, before being forcibly deported to unsafe countries. The very idea of 'administrative detention' is a violation of people's basic human rights and fundamental freedoms. There have also been numerous reports of abuse and mistreatment at the hands of 'staff', lack or denial of medical care, obstruction of detainees' trying to handle their legal matters and so on. In the most extreme cases, these desperate conditions have led migrant prisoners to take their own lives.

Leonard Peltier: Silence Screams
Czytelnik CIA, Wto, 2007-09-11 11:29 English Leonard Peltier will be 63 years old on September 12, 2007. It’s an international day for demanding the immediate, unconditional freedom of this Native American artist, writer, and activist––one of the most widely recognized political prisoners in the world.
Leonard has spent more than 31 years in some of the cruelest prisons in the United States, unjustly condemned to a double life sentence for the shooting death of two FBI agents in 1975. His situation is now aggravated by health problems.
From his cell in the federal prison at Lewisberg, Pensilvania, he keeps right on struggling for the rights of indigenous people. He’s contributed to the establishment of libraries, schools, scholarships, and battered women’s shelters among many other projects. He was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2004 and again in 2007.
ABC Berlin: What's Happening in Germany
Czytelnik CIA, Sob, 2007-09-01 10:00 EnglishA short overview of the last operations aimed to bring down the militant resistance
Once again within a few months we are forced to witness the dirty movements of the BAW (General Federal Attorney): on the 31st of July, three comrades got arrested near Berlin, allegedely after having placed some incendiary devices under a few military trucks. A forth person has been arrested in his apartment, accused of being one of the people who wrote the communqués of the group. Three other comrades are (at the moment) with free feet, but under investigation. For what exactly? Paragraph 129a, terrorist association: all of them are accused of belonging to the Militante Gruppe, a clandestine group active since 2001.We borrow some words from the anti repression website Gipfelsoli in order to clarify the happenings of the last three months.
Ultra-nationalist, fascist and neo-Nazi movements in Russia
Czytelnik CIA, Pią, 2007-08-31 12:34 EnglishInterview
Peter McNally (not his real name) has been researching the American and European far right for over twenty years. The recent murderous attack on the eco-protest camp in Siberia occasioned this interview, in which Peter uncovers some little-known facts about one of the world’s largest and – to many Western anarchists - least familiar networks of ultra-nationalist, fascist and neo-Nazi movements.
Two Years After Katrina, Billions in Relief Funds Are Missing
Czytelnik CIA, Śro, 2007-08-29 19:07 EnglishWhen pressed on the slow pace of recovery in the Gulf Coast, President Bush insists the federal government has fulfilled its promise to rebuild the region. The proof, he says, is in the big check the federal government signed to underwrite the recovery -- allegedly more than $116 billion. But residents of the still-devastated Gulf Coast are left wondering whether the check bounced.
Summer of squatting in Finland
Czytelnik CIA, Wto, 2007-08-28 17:32 EnglishDuring the summer 2007 squatting activity has spread all across Finland. In Helsinki there have been six different occupations. In Turku two houses have been occupied, but both of them have been evicted. In Tampere one social center has been created and is still functioning.
The occupations started in Helsinki in May, when a house was occupied for a social center in the Katajanokka district in the center of Helsinki. After the Karku Social center was evicted, we occupied an abandoned restaurant in
Hakaniemi for two different parties. A few weeks later another building was occupied in the Punavuori district. That social center was also evicted after two weeks by a massive police operation assisted by an helicopter of
the Finnish Frontier Guard.
Security guards and prisons in the dollars-for-migrants industry
Czytelnik CIA, Pon, 2007-08-27 16:01 EnglishAnother industry has been privatized in the United States by the Bush administration. This time it is the transportation of migrants for deportation.
The Wackenhut Corporation, whose buses wait along the border to be filled with migrants for deportation, is actually a subsidiary of the Danish security corporation G4S (Group Securicor) in Denmark.
Choice Ireland picket rogue crisis pregnancy agency, WRC
Czytelnik CIA, Wto, 2007-08-21 12:16 English | Prawa kobiet/FeminizmChoice Ireland staged a protest outside the Women’s Resource Centre, a rogue pregnancy counselling agency on 50 Upper Dorset Street on Saturday, 18th August 2007. Choice Ireland is a diverse group of Pro-Choice activists campaigning for free, safe and legal abortion services in Ireland.
Rogue crisis pregnancy counselling agencies advertise themselves as providers of legitimate pregnancy counselling services but they are known to use manipulative tactics, provide misleading information and intimidate women. The sole purpose of these agencies is to stop women from travelling outside the State to terminate a pregnancy. When Choice Ireland activists attended this agency, they were told that having an abortion would increase their risk of developing breast cancer, becoming an alcoholic and abusing children. These are blatant lies designed to scare vulnerable women in a crisis pregnancy situation.
Workers struggle betrayed by State and union in Venezuela

Workers Control at Venezuela’s Sanitarios Maracay under Attack
Last November the 800 workers of Sanitarios Maracay, Aragua, Venezuela received notice from their employer, Pocaterra, that their services were no longer required, announcing the shutdown of the plant until further notice. This followed a previous attempt earlier last year when the workers were compelled to occupy the installations for 42 days before reaching a settlement, to which he later refused to comply.
This tactic was part of a transparent union-busting campaign to destroy the organization of workers that had successfully managed to remove the company boys and elect militant rank-n-filers who meant to enforce their collective bargaining agreement and fight for their rights. Refusing to bargain in good faith to resolve the labor disputes in the plant, Pocaterra threatened to abandon ship, negating back-wages, damages, and benefits owed to the 800 families who depended on these jobs.

Police tried on Tuesday unsuccessfully to storm the camp. The usual harrassment tactics were used against demonstrators: searches and arrests with crazy charges.
